Who this course is for
Any organisation that wants to build awareness of first aid for mental health across its team. Whether level 1 is the right starting point for your staff is something we'll discuss with you on enquiry — we can help you decide between this and our level 2 or level 3 courses.
Practical focus
Discussion-based, practical awareness training focused on supportive conversations and signposting within your setting. Learners build an everyday awareness of first aid for mental health through discussion and scenarios relevant to their workplace, not theory alone. This course does not qualify people to diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
Delivery approach
Delivered at your premises, UK-wide, as a group session sized to your staff. We come to you so your people learn in the environment they'll actually work in.
Course information
Plan your team training with clear information about learning time, assessment and certification. Start times and breaks are confirmed with your organisation; taught hours exclude breaks.
- Duration
- Minimum 4 classroom contact hours, usually a half-day session. Dates and timings are arranged with your organisation.
- Assessment
- Written assessment for classroom delivery. Successful completion is required for the award.
- Certification
- The FAA qualification is valid for three years from achievement. This awareness course does not qualify learners to diagnose or treat conditions.
