Who this course is for
Supervisors, managers and others leading a team who want to support a positive workplace mental health culture. Whether level 3 is the right fit for your organisation is something we'll discuss with you on enquiry — we can help you decide between this and our level 1 or level 2 courses.
Practical focus
Discussion-based, practical training for those supervising first aid for mental health, focused on supporting a positive workplace mental health culture within your setting. Learners build understanding through discussion and scenarios relevant to their role, not theory alone. This course does not qualify people to diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
Delivery approach
Delivered at your premises, UK-wide, as a group session sized to your staff. We come to you so your people learn in the environment they'll actually work in.
Course information
Plan your team training with clear information about learning time, assessment and certification. Start times and breaks are confirmed with your organisation; taught hours exclude breaks.
- Duration
- Minimum 12 classroom contact hours, usually over two days. Session dates and times are agreed with your organisation.
- Assessment
- Two written assessments and practical demonstration of the mental health first aid action plan. All assessments must be passed.
- Certification
- The FAA qualification is valid for three years after successful completion. It does not qualify learners to diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
